NMMC Highlights 2025 Performance and Developments at Media Briefing
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company presented the results of its 2025 operations to representatives of national media at a press conference held at the Company’s headquarters.
The event provided an overview of the Company’s performance over the past year, including production results, implementation of the investment program, developments in corporate governance, the expansion of digital technologies in production processes, workforce training initiatives, engagement with citizens and businesses, anti-corruption efforts, and cooperation with the media aimed at ensuring transparency and openness.

Production and Industrial Cooperation
In 2025, NMMC produced goods worth UZS 135.6 trillion, representing 102.1% growth compared with 2024.
Gold production reached 3.15 million troy ounces, slightly higher than the 3.1 million ounces produced in 2024.
As part of the localization program, the Company manufactured UZS 1.4 trillion worth of localized products, while UZS 7.3 trillion worth of goods were procured through inter-industry industrial cooperation.

Investment Projects and Production Expansion
Under the Company’s Investment Program, $561 million was invested in 2025. The implementation of new investment projects and the expansion of existing production facilities resulted in the creation of 2,628 new jobs.
One of the key milestones was the completion of Phase I of Stage V of the Muruntau open-pit development project by the end of the year.
At Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 2, several upgrades were completed as part of the second phase of the grinding department expansion project. These included:
- construction of 30 additional adsorption units in the sorption and regeneration sections
- installation of two thickeners in the thickening section
- reconstruction of Pump Station No. 16
- expansion of the second building of the grinding department
- installation of Grinding Mill No. 33

At Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7, the project to expand processing capacity included the commissioning of four new grinding mills in 2025.
Within the investment project “Ore Mining at the Kokpatas and Daugyztau Gold Deposits (Stage III)”, two additional BIOX bio-oxidation modules (No. 9 and 10) were launched at Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 3. At the Daugyztau mine, a 1,900-meter cyclic-flow technology complex was also commissioned.
Another important development was the launch of a modern engineering facility — the “Skip” mine shaft at the Zarmitan deposit, with a diameter of 6.5 meters and a depth of 1,000 meters, enabling the development of deeper ore horizons.

ESG and Capital Markets
In 2025, the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch assigned NMMC its debut corporate ESG rating of ‘3’, with an overall score of 51 points. The assessment covered the Company’s sustainability strategy, corporate governance practices, and environmental and social impact.
During the year, international rating agencies Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings upgraded NMMC’s long-term credit rating to “BB” with a Stable outlook, reflecting the Company’s strong financial position and resilient operational performance.
NMMC also successfully issued $ 500 million in corporate bonds on the London Stock Exchange.

Digital Transformation
According to the national assessment of digital development among state-owned enterprises and economic management bodies, NMMC ranked first among 33 organizations, achieving a score of 98.7 points.
As part of the Company’s digital transformation program aligned with the national strategy “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030,” more than 40 initiatives were implemented in 2025 to introduce digital technologies across operational and management processes.
In particular, under the “Digital Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7” project, existing automated process control systems were modernized and integrated into the plant’s operational dispatch management system. Artificial intelligence technologies were also introduced to support operational decision-making.
Workforce Development
NMMC currently employs more than 50,000 people, including:
- 6,045 women
- 11,722 employees under the age of 30
- 13,909 employees with higher education degrees
In 2025, 17,686 employees completed training and professional development programs.
- 14,915 workers upgraded their qualifications at the Company’s five training centers
- 2,771 managers and engineers completed advanced training at universities and specialized training institutions in Uzbekistan and abroad
Additionally, around 700 university graduates joined the Company’s workforce during the year.

Public Engagement
In 2025, NMMC received 3,108 public inquiries, including written, oral, electronic submissions, and appeals through the Virtual Reception of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
A total of 1,773 appeals were submitted through the Presidential virtual reception portal.
During the year:
- 158 citizens were received personally by the Chairman of the Management Board – CEO
- 129 citizens were received by Deputy CEOs
Anti-Corruption and Compliance
In 2025, NMMC’s Compliance Service fully implemented a roadmap aimed at strengthening anti-corruption measures and ensuring transparency.
On 20 November 2025, the Company held an Open Day dedicated to International Anti-Corruption Day, observed annually on 9 December.
In July 2025, NMMC successfully completed the first surveillance audit for compliance with the international standard ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System.

Gender Equality and Inclusion
At the national stage of the “Gender Equality Activist” competition organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Committee for Family and Women Affairs, NMMC was recognized as the “Most Active National Organization in Promoting Gender Equality.”

Media Engagement
In 2025, the Company published more than 300 news items and analytical materials on its official website in Uzbek, Russian, and English.
NMMC also actively engaged with audiences on social media, sharing over 10,000 posts and videos across platforms including Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn.

The press conference was attended by Jakhongir Khasanov, First Deputy CEO of NMMC, Israil Rakhmatov, Chairman of the NMMC Trade Union Council, Rustam Avezov, Head of the Compliance Service, as well as senior managers and specialists from the Company’s management departments.
